Heavy and light paraffin
The difference between heavy and light paraffin is that although light paraffin is of higher quality and has more fuel in proportion to the clock, its greater stickiness compared to heavy paraffin can cause a little trouble for candle makers. Also, the lower price of heavy paraffin is the reason for its popularity among some candle makers.
Purity
Have you ever purchased paraffin, especially solid Paraffin Wax? So surely you have heard of various paraffins with different percentages. But what do these percentages mean? These percentages are basically the amount of fat in paraffin. The higher the amount of fat in paraffin:
- It produces more smoke and tears during fueling.
- Its color tends to yellow.
- It becomes softer.
- They are cheaper.
Although Sepehr collection candles are produced using the best 1-3% Paraffin Wax, but in the Iranian candle industry, 3-5% paraffin is often used. Cheaper candles that we do not recommend to use or produce have up to 12% fat impurity in their paraffin.
